Getting way from the things that cause you stress, is one
way of releasing that stress. You deserve any excuse to getaway as well!
Here is how I suggest you plan your stress free getaway:
1) Rent
the nicest car you can afford-
You do not need to worry about the
wear on your own personal car and any emergency maintenance with a rental, a no
stress, no brainer here. Driving a difference style car will give you a special
little gift to yourself, an identity change of the weekend. Driving a different
car can do wonders for your self-esteem. To clarify, the feeling is like
wearing a costume on Halloween, you are someone new and different.
2) Drive
to a destination as FAR from home as time and energy allow-
The catchword here is FAR. Try a
hotel or a bed and breakfast that you have researched in advance. Play tourist
and check out some local shops and activities if available. You do not need to
hide in your room and eat a carton of ice cream; you can do that very well at
home. If you feel buying something, do. If not that is okay too. Do not create
stress, release it!
3) Savor
your experience as you drive back home- Take your time, reminisce in your mind,
the calm feelings that you had during your escape. You may find that a solution
for a problem that was in the back of your mind has suddenly come forward. The
issues that you left on Friday night do not seem as stressful and overwhelming.
You perhaps have been inspired with some options or alternatives.
You will find that in only three short days you have become
emotionally more productive and positive in your attitude. You have released
stress, resolved stress, and strengthened your ability to create calm an
awesome accomplishment for a three-day getaway.
